DSD North Layton Junior High Addition and Renovation

The mechanical system for the addition was a new packaged VAV cooling unit, and the heating was tied into the existing boiler hot water system. The existing media center and surrounding areas were also renovated to include a new computer lab, and to upgrade the support spaces. Supplemental cooling from the new system was added to the new computer lab, while the existing HVAC and heating water piping systems were extended, re-configured, and re-balanced as necessary to support the remodel. All the new and renovated areas were brought up to current codes, including additional fire and smoke protection.
