Kahlert Village Housing & Dining

– Phases I & II:

This 350,000 sf dorm building was designed using an air cooled VRF system and is pursuing LEED Platinum. Phase I included 3 wings of housing, a large dining area with a 30,000 sf food court including 7 kitchens. The Phase II project included another wing of housing. In order to help the campus meet their goals of reducing energy consumption and fossil fuel usage, Phase I was designed for all of the heating and cooling needs to be met by an all-electric high efficiency heat pump VRF system.
