Produced with Think Architecture. This Building is 3 stories (82,000 square feet) and now serves American Express. The initial design included the core and shell of the building. The building infrastructure was designed with a Variable Refrigerant Flow system with roof mounted heat pumps, and Energy Recovery Ventilation Systems. The open office concept is a great application for VRF due to multiple exposures for each floor and VRF load sharing capability. The fresh air is served by 4 Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems twinned up to serve each of the building’s mechanical shafts. The building is served by two one-hundred-gallon water heaters. A dedicated boiler also serves a snow melt system for the north side of the building. This design also included ventilation and drainage for a large parking structure to the south.
